George Thorman & his son are cycling the length of from Roose near Barry (southernmost Tip) to just the other side of Amlwch on Anglesey( northernmost Tip)
Starting on the 14 August & arriving on in Anglesey on Monday 18 August.
Born on the Llyn in the small village of Botwnog with welsh very much his first language this has been an ambition of Georges for many years. Now that he is 70 he has decided that if he doesn’t do it now, then perhaps he never will. So its all planned & he is in heavy training right now..
It would be great if we could get a bit of support going along the way from some of our members & their families if possible.
They will arrive in your catchment area on Day 4 passing through Penrhyndeudraeth, Penrhyn and then taking the Porthmadog road & on to Caernarfon. Stopping at the Celtic Royal Hotel.
Day 5 they will leave Caernarfon pass the Morrisons Superstore on to Felinheli, Bangor & then on the A5 to Menai Bridge. the route will continue via the Mona Road then on to the Pentraeth Rd & Ffordd Penmynydd to Cae Cwta Bach. Then through Llanerchymedd
on to Stad Gwynfryn after that its small tracks for about 5 miles to the finish line..
